Michelle Clarke is a New Zealand-based watercolour artist, illustrator, and commercial photographer renowned for her equestrian themes, rural New Zealand landscapes, and custom children's art.

Her creative journey began in the small town of Otorohanga, New Zealand, where she grew up surrounded by paddocks, animals, and plenty of inspiration. Michelle fell in love with creating from a very young age - painting and sketching since kindergarten, and picking up her first proper camera at around 14 years old.

Equestrian themes played a huge part in launching her artistic career and remain close to her heart, but over time her work has expanded into a wider collection of animal, countryside, and lifestyle-inspired pieces.

When she's not behind the camera or paintbrush, you’ll usually find her gallivanting across the hunt field with her iconic ginger thoroughbred, Sydney, renovating and landscaping her 1960s home with her husband Steve, sharing a cup of tea with friends, or curled up with a good book.
